It’s tough. Life that is. It’s tougher when you choose to be responsible for others. In this case the subject of marriage and children. Though no matter how that puzzle fits together, it’s the fact that two have to act as one, for the greater good of the family whole that make it such an important and tough role and choice. Though if you stop and truly absorb the world around you, including your partner and your children; you will realize it isn’t as bad as it can be. It’s when you try to fight the flow of life by yourself without your team that you find yourself isolated, pained, and allow the darkness of doubt and depression to take hold. If you remember that you are just one of a whole, a part of a team, and rely on the strengths of the team and help cover the weaknesses, then things will flow smother.
Sometimes in the busy bustle of life you may feel like you are passing everyone and thing by, not having the time to interact and enjoy life. These are the moments you have to force the change and re-enforce your needs and your desire to be part of life. You don’t have to stop and smell the roses as the old saying goes, but you sure can take a moment and enjoy them, enjoy the moment of enjoying them with those around you.
In my life things are very chaotic. I know I am not the perfect partner or the perfect parent. I do though try to pick up the balls when I see them slipping from the flow and into the ether. I do notice with my children or my partner does the same. I may not always have time at that moment to recognize and thank them, but here now, I am.
It’s tough. Especially when not everyone is 100%. Though if you just remember there are others that can help, and if you take the few moments to appreciate, recognize, and partake in the assistance; life, your life, will be much better.
Even if it is not clear sailing, its far more enjoyable.
