My heart aches and my soul cries for Delilah and her family.
When will our nation, and our world realize that depression, anxiety, all mental illness needs to be researched more, and supported more.
Her family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
As the sun sets on the day, so does life eventually set on us all.
Some sleep as the course of nature
Some to an unnatural fall
Embrace these souls, lost and aching
Love these lives whose hearts are breaking
Say a word or two
Remind them they are not alone
Guide them through the night and home to the next dawn
It is the humane thing to do
Love all as only as our flawed selves can do
We might not be able to heal and wipe clean the wounds
Supporting their mind, soul, heart, and body with our own may be all we can
Most of the time in the cold darkness of one’s mental cell
Hearing that voice reach out is enough
To fight, and claw, and change desire to renewed hope
Day by day all must fight
Night by Night all must remain bright
A beacon, light house, a comforting soul
Bringing safe harbor and rest to the weary and cold
In honor and memory of Zacahriah who brought light to Delilah a beautiful soul who has helped and guided so many others.
May peace rain abundantly on the family and wisdom guide them through these turbulent times.
